The retrospective show at Fuller Lodge was a great success by any measure- hundreds saw the show, comments and press coverage were wonderful, and eleven pieces sold. What a great experience! Ken Nebel, Nancy Coombs and Amy Bjarke (owner and staff at the Art Center) were so professional, and my friends banded together to help hang the show, bring food for the reception, take it down- I'm still on "cloud nine" from all the love.

Watch for more information about my upcoming solo show at the Fuller Lodge Art Center- November 15 through 20 in Los Alamos. Reception on Friday, November 19, conversation about the creative process with artists and poets on Saturday, November 20, 11 a.m.
New work, older work- a sort of overview and retrospective of my work.

If you're familiar with the Cerro Grande Fire of 2000, you'll be happy to see the artwork that was created in and around Los Alamos in response to that fire. The show is called "Touched by Fire: Hands that help, hands that create." In addition to the artwork, we will have a wall of volunteers- more than 2700 names of people who helped with fire-fighting and with the recovery, reseeding the forest and rebuilding the trails.

I'll be bringing new work, never before seen, down to Madrid for the December fiber arts show. Madrid, New Mexico is a great place to visit in December, with parades, lights, galleries, food, hot cider- and it's a gorgeous drive from wherever you are in New Mexico or southern Colorado.

I'll be showing my work in Madrid, New Mexico, a cool little old mining town south of Santa Fe, during October and November. The Johnsons are great supporters of artists in general and fiber artists in particular, and I'm looking forward to the opportunity to roll out some new pieces. Look for opening receptions on the first Saturday of each month.
Pokey Bolton, the editor of Quilting Arts Magazine, has been kind enough to feature my work in her publications, so I not only thank her for all her support, but also would like to link to her site here.
Please contact me with any questions you might have about my work- it's something I love to talk about. Many of the pieces are for sale, either through the Johnsons or directly from me, but be aware that I would never undercut the gallery pricing.
